#10: Dennis Seidenberg

Dennis Seidenberg was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 6th round of the 2001 NHL Draft. Then he was traded along with Matt Bartkowski to the Bruins in 2010 for Byron Bitz, Craig Weller,

Seidenberg played 481 games for the Bruins tallying 117 points (23 G, 94 A), and a plus minus of plus 54. Then in his career and he has played in 831 games and has 246 points and a career plus minus of plus 48. Seidenberg was a major part of the 2011 Cup Team. He played most of his career on the pairing with Zdeno Chara as the number one pairing. This meant he played against top players around the league. His career year came in 2011 when he had 32 points and was a plus 41.

He was not the flashiest player and he usually flew under the radar.

In the 2011 playoffs, he skated in all 25 games and put up 12 points and was a plus 12. He also averaged 27:38 in on ice time. He played almost half of the game each time he played. In his entire playoff career, Seidenberg has skated in 69 games and tallied 21 points and a plus 10.

A guy that was a huge part of the Stanley Cup victory. Seidenberg was paired with Chara most of the time. He was always a leader by example. Seid’s was not the flashiest player and he usually flew under the radar and just let his solid defense speak for itself.

In the 2011-12 Washington playoff series, Seidenberg went one-on-one versus Alexander Ovechkin. The two battled it out the whole series.
