Barstool Sports Foreign Correspondent Donny Does Makes A Video With Former Boston Red Sox Slugger Manny Ramirez
Barstool Sports foreign correspondent Donny Does visited former Boston Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez in Japan. Manny has been playing in Japan for the Kochi Fighting Dogs in the Japanese Baseball League alongside former Red Sox prospect Lars Anderson.
Donnie’s video with Manny is an all-access pass into Manny’s world in Japan and in the video Ramirez even claims there was never a curse in Boston.

The most interesting part of the video came when Anderson’s friend came to watch the Dogs play and ended up befriending Ramirez and became his defacto hitting coach. Ramirez ended up winning the leagues MVP. The seasons there are broken up into two halves with the first half ending on May 28th and the second half picking back up on July 30th. In 18 games for the Fighting Dogs Ramirez as a designated hitter has a .460 avg, 3 home runs, and 20 RBIs.
Manny played 19 seasons in the majors where he hit 555 home runs, 1831 RBIs, and had a .312/.411/.585 slash line. This past Hall of Fame vote was the first time Ramirez had appeared on the ballot and he achieved 24% of the vote. His statistics are hall of fame worthy, in fact you could argue first or second ballot hall of fame, but with the PED questions surrounding his entire career, his chances of ever getting in are slim unless BBWAA voters start allowing players with PED relations into the Hall of Fame.
For now, fans can watch his highlights from his games in Japan and just wonder if one the greatest hitters they have ever seen will enter the hall.
