Bruins Talk: Is Brad Marchand deserving of the number three spot

NHL Network has been releasing top 20 lists, their first one was goalies where Tuukka Rask was left off of it. This time around a Bruins makes 3rd on the list. Is this too high up?

Here is the full list of players

  1. Patrick Kane
  2. Nikita Kucherov
  3. Brad Marchand
  4. Vladimir Tarasanko
  5. Jamie Benn
  6. Alex Ovechkin
  7. Joe Pavelski

  10. Johnny Gaudreau
  11. Blake Wheeler
  12. Phil Kessel
  13. Max Pacioretty

  20. Taylor Hall

I myself think that Marchand is a bit high on the list. I agree that he should definitely be on that list But just a tad lower.  Also, what are the parameters for the list? Is time in the playoff have an effect on the rating. If so then Marchy should be way down. If it’s just regular season than just a notch or two down. So here is my list

here is my list: I will only do the top 10

  1. Patrick Kane
  2. Nikita Kutcherov
  3. Jamie Benn
  4. Mitch Marner
  5. Brad Marchand
  6. Johnny Gaudreau
  7. Vladimir Tarasanko
  8. Phil Kessel

Boston Bruins Already Having Injury Problem

Bruins Injury Updates Have Begun

Today GM Don Sweeney has given an update on a few injured players.

Matt Beleskey who which is not a big deal since he might not even make the team is day-to-day with a foot contusion. This happened is the B’s last preseason game against the Montreal Canadiens

Jakub Forsbacka Karlsson is day-to-day as well with an upper-body injury that he received in the game against Detroit on September 19th. Hopefully, this is nothing because he was a kid that was slotted to make a roster spot.

Last is Torrey Krug who will be out for at least three weeks pending a re-evaluation at that time. He was hit in the jaw with the puck and suffered a non-displaced fracture. It occurred in the game against Detroit.

Also on another note, the team has sent Jack Studnicka and Kyle Keyser back to the OHL.

The biggest injury is with JFK, now some may say Krug but I think the B’s can find a replacement for him. McAvoy will most likely take over on the power play and maybe this opens the door for a guy like Rob O’Gara or Matt Grzelcyk. Other than these few hiccups Boston should be a fun team to watch this season. Especially if they stay as young as they have in camp and the preseason games.

Bruins Grab First Win Of The Preseason

Boston took on the Canadiens last night in Quebec City and came out with a victory. Last nights team was all about the kids. Unfortnitally the game was not aired on TV in Boston. the Bruins defeated Montreal 3-2.

From what I have read from people that saw the game is that the kids were very impressive. Tim Schaller, Anders Bjork, and Jesse Gabrielle were the goal scorers. As the whole, the team seems like they are in a good spot to be competitive this season. Especially with all of the prospects on the roster that are eyeing a spot in the big club.

The most impressive was last years NCAA Hobey Baker Finalist Anders Bjork. Bjork scored his first goal in a Bruins uniform last night. Also, the word on the street is that his chemistry with the team is growing. Look for him to grab a top-six spot on the roster heading into the season.

Here is Anders Bjork on his first goal in. A very hockey guy answer:
