With the Boston Bruins now 2-0 in the Bruce Cassidy era it is important not to get ahead of ourselves with the team clinging on for dear life in the playoff position.

Cassidy replaced the winningest head coach in Boston Bruins history in Claude Julien but he isn’t looking to be Claude, instead Cassidy is looking to be his own man.

“You try not to think of that, who you’re replacing because he is a legend here in Boston and so you don’t want to get caught up and you got to focus on the task at hand,” said Cassidy. “It’s a tall order to be a head coach in the National Hockey League so my biggest focus is on our group, making the Boston Bruins the best team we can be every day and then obviously the opponent we are playing.

“So I haven’t had a lot of time to reflect on it either to be quite honest either, you know with a little lull next week, maybe some of those thoughts will come through.”

Cassidy announced that in game 3 at the helm Tuukka Rask will be in-between the pipes in the second game of a back-to-back with a mightily important matchup with the division leading Montreal Canadiens.
