Bruins Recall Cehlarik, and place Czarnik On IR

Cehlarik, 21, is playing his first professional season with the Bruins.This is his first call-up to the Bruins. He is expected to join the team for today’s practice at Warrior Ice Arena. Austin Czarnik is on the IR with a lower-body injury.

He has played in 40 games down in Providence and has recorded 18 goals (first on team, ninth in AHL) and 15 assists for a total of 33 points (second on team). Cehlarik also has a plus-nine rating. He leads the league in shootout goals with  4 goals on 6 attempts.

Before he bore a B/P on his Jersey he played with Lulea HF in the Swedish Hockey League in 2015-16. Cehlarik had 11 goals with 20 points and a plus-seven in 46 games. He also appeared in 11 playoff games and tallied 3 goals and two assists. During his time with Lulea HC Cehlarik played in 132 games posting 22 goals and 27 assists for 49 points. Plus another 25 appearenses in playoff games tallying 5 goals and three assists.

In 2013-14 he skated for the Asploven HC in the Swedish 1st Division. Cehlarik had 5 goals with 8 assists for 13 points.

Peter Cehlarik was drafted by the Bruins in the third round, 90th overall of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Czarnik 24, has played 47 games this season with the Bruins. He has potted 5 goals and eight assists for 13 points. Czarnik is a very skilled kid. He has played well so far this season. I think he has done many things this season that can not be counted on the score sheet and that is why I like him. He embodies what we expect from a Bruins player.
