Boston Celtics Rumor: Pacers Asking Price For George High

Boston Celtics Rumor: Indiana Pacers Asking Price For Star Forward Paul George Too High According To A Report

Despite Paul George publically stating he will not resign with the Indiana Pacers, the team is still asking for a high return for the star forward. This has put teams like the Boston Celtics in a bit of a holding pattern waiting to hear back from the Pacers.

As illustrated below the latest offer from the Pacers includes the 2018 Net’s pick, the Lakers pick and starting players on top of it (Jae Crowder or Avery Bradley).

It was reported earlier in the week that another condition for Boston is that George agrees to an extension with the Celtics. But George reportedly would not do that unless the Celtics can sign a Blake Griffin or Gordon Hayward type of player.

But with the Pacers asking price for a player on an expiring deal and one who wants out is simply way too high for any team in the NBA to pay. The Celtics reported offer was leaked on Wednesday and it shows how far apart the two sides seem to make a deal.

The Boston Celtics reportedly offered the Pacers the first-round pick they received from the 76ers, either the 2019 Grizzlies or Clippers’ protected first-rounder, Jae Crowder and a money filler.
