Boston Celtics Take On Washington Wizards In Game 1 And Here Is What You Need To Know

Boston Celtics Take On Washington Wizards In Game 1 And Here Is  What You Need To Know

For the first time in the Brad Stevens era, the Boston Celtics are playing in the second round of the NBA playoffs. Their playoff opponent is one that has created tension before in the regular season and that is the Washington Wizards.

You guys might remember this regular season matchup where Jae Crowder and John Wall almost fought after a game. Then the next time the two teams played the Wizards showed up to the arena in all-black saying that game was the funeral of the Celtics.

Game 1 should be interesting, the game is on ABC at 1 pm at home in Boston. Pre-post-halftime coverage can be seen on CSNNE if you want a local coverage for the game. But from this point on all Boston Celtics games will be national tv viewing only with CSNNE no longer holding the rights to the games.

One storyline to watch is Isaiah Thomas who attended his sister’s funeral on Saturday and is supposed to be flying back into Boston Saturday night ahead of Sundays game 1. The Celtics have repeatedly said that IT can take all the time he needs, this situation is very fluid at the moment and anything can happen.

Both teams played on Friday night so there is no advantage in terms of a turnaround since their games were less than 48 hours prior to the start of game 1.

Get hyped Boston, the Celtics have a realistic shot to win this series if Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley, and Jae Crowder can defend John Wall and Bradley Beal, if they can do that, they will win.
