The fireworks Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck promised years ago has come true.

Last season with Utah, Hayward averaged 21.9 points per game.
Hayward joins former Butler head coach Brad Stevens with the Celtics as the two reunite with the hopes of bringing the Celtics franchise their 18th NBA Championship. The signing of Hayward is easily Boston’s biggest free agent signing in the modern era right next to the signing of Al Horford in the previous season.
Hayward meet with three teams the weekend before his decision with the Miami Heat, Celtics, and Utah Jazz being the teams he wanted to choose from.
Boston’s projected starting lineup with Hayward is something to behold in the eastern conference.
