The Other Guys

Eduardo Rodriguez LHP:

The 24-year-old hurler is entering his 3rd season at the major league level looking to secure a foothold as a Major League starter. So far in his career E-Rod has been riddled with inconstancies, is this the year he breaks out? No, not likely, but this is the year where he takes a solid step forward.

Predictions: 10-8 in 25 starts, 4.10 ERA in 150+ innings pitched

Steven Wright RHP:

The 32-year-old knuckleballer is coming off of a breakout season where he made the all-star team, but he also suffered an injury in the second half that caused him to miss a great deal of games. Wright is one of the pitchers battling it out for a spot in the rotation, my gut feeling is he sees a good amount of time in the starting five this season.

Predictions: 7-5 record in 24 starts, 3.76 ERA in 110+ innings pitched

Drew Pomeranz LHP:

Bullpen or starting rotation will be the question for Pomeranz, he has struggled in ST and his poor performance for Boston after the trade for him last season doesn’t bode well for him once Price returns. He also has a sketchy medical history paired with stamina questions. This is a starter I have serious doubts in, I think he fails as a starter in Boston and like Joe Kelly will be delegated to the bullpen.

Predictions: 5-6 record in 23 starts, 4.50 ERA in 100+ innings pitched
