Boston Red Sox Shakeup Lineup Ahead Of Series With Chicago Cubs
With the Chicago Cubs coming to town and the Boston Red Sox struggling to find offensive life, John Farrell has decided to shake up his lineup for game 1. The notable difference for the Red Sox is the demotion of Pedroia to the 6th spot.
Here is Boston’s lineup for Friday night’s game:
Mookie Betts RF
Drew Pomeranz LHP
The reason behind moving Dustin down was because he is struggling with a .242 batting average. But I doubt a slumping Boston Red Sox lineup needs Pedroia to see fewer at-bats. But with nothing working on offense, it is understandable for Farrell to try and shake things up to find something that works.
Chicago Cubs starting lineup for Friday night’s game:
Kris Bryant 3B
Ben Zobrist LF
Javier Baez 2B
Albert Almora Jr.
With the Boston Celtics playing game 6 of the first round of the NBA playoffs in Chicago tonight with the chance of clinching many fans will likely be on CSNNE. But with the Red Sox playing the defending World Series champions tuning into NESN tonight during the commercials might be worthwhile to see the Cubs and the new look Red Sox lineup.
