Boston Red Sox Stop Losing Streak With Sale

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Seattle Mariners 4-0 on Wednesday.

Chris Sale went 7 innings giving up 3 base hits with one walk and 11 strikeouts en route to his 13th victory of the season. Behind Sale, John Farrell used Blaine Boyer and Craig Kimbrel.

Boston’s offense collected 9 base hits driving in 4 runs. The Red Sox hit two home runs on Wednesday with Sandy Leon and Rafael Devers both going yard.

Devers home run was his first in MLB and his first hit. Devers went 2-for-4 in his second Major League game.

With the win, the Red Sox go 2-4 on the 6 game road trip. Both wins came with Sale on the mound. Now Boston will fly back home for a weekend series at Fenway Park against the Kansas City Royals.
