Celtics Talk: Hayward Ranked No.4 Free Agent By The Vertical

The Boston Celtics have been rumored to be in pursuit of Utah Jazz free agent Gordon Hayward and Clippers power forward Blake Griffin.

But according to longtime NBA executive Bobby Marks, neither are in the top three of NBA free agents. Marks released his rankings of the 2017 NBA free agents on the vertical with Hayward listed at No.4 and Griffin at No.6.

The top three is made up of two Golden State stars who won’t be going anywhere in Kevin Durant (No. 1) and Steph Curry (No. 2), as well as 32-year-old Clippers point guard Chris Paul who came in at No.3.

Marks noted the extra cash Hayward would pull in by staying in Utah ($44 million) and said that teams would have to rely heavily on their medical departments when determining how to proceed with the oft-injured Griffin.

Of course Marks’s opinion are just that of one man, an educated NBA mind though. Anything can happen this offseason.
