Super Bowl 51 Hero And New England Patriots Running Back James White Is Already Eyeing The Future
New England Patriots Running Back James White broke out big in Super Bowl 51 as he helped the Patriots overcome a 25 point deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons and the NFL 34-28.
White finished the game with 14 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown, as well as six rushes for 29 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime. If not for Tom Brady’s performance, White likely would have won MVP.
It was a career night on the most important night in his career, but James While is not thinking about the past, but instead he is looking towards the future.
“I traveled a bunch, but that was about it. I’m trying to put that in the past. It’s a new season. Nobody cares about that any more. I just have to get focused on this year,” White told reporters on Wednesday.
“Too many times. But it is what it is,” he said. “I want to continue to become a better player and do whatever I can to help the team this year.”
