Boston Bruins Have Assigned Austin Czarnik And Joe Morrow To Providence

Czarnik Sent Down, Morrow Assigned for conditioning

Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney has announce that both Morrow and Czarnik are being assigned to the Providence Bruins.

Austin Czarnik has been on the IR with a lower-body injury since February 7, and he has been removed, and he will need to get back into hockey shape. Also Morrow who has not played a game in a while is being sent down for conditioning. This could mean one of two things:

  1. He is getting traded, and they want him fresh for the team he is going to.
  2. Sweeney wants him back in shape because he is trading another defenseman.

Czarnik has played in 47 games this season and has recorded 5 goals and eight assists. I like Czarnik he is a great 4th/3rd line grit guy who can score. Look for a possible trade with him, it may be tough due to his injury but he is good trade bait. Especially if he is packaged with someone else. Lets face it where would he fit back in, Things are going pretty well right now.

Morrow has only played in 17 games this season, but he looked a lot better than previous years. He has started to be more physical which is what the Bruins need. Morrow only has one assists this season. He is not the type of guy that should be putting up big points but 20 or so assists would be nice if he does start playing more.

Czarnik and Morrow may be in the lineup for Sunday’s game against Tyler Seguin and the Dallas Stars, they face the LA Kings tonight in LA so it is another 1030 start on the East for the B’s.
