Bruins Owe Toronto A Case Of Beer
April 12, 2017 will mark the beginning of the 2017 NHL Playoffs and the Boston Bruins are in it. The team narrowly escaped playing Washington as Toronto lost to Columbus last night.
With the Leafs loss, the Leafs ans B’s were tied so we go to Regulation and overtime wins (ROW) for the tiebreaker. Boston has 42 while Toronto only had 39 so Boston gets the third seed. That means that Toronto will face Washington in the first round. For the whole playoff picture click here
Boston has always had a tough time against Ottawa no matter what. For some reason they just never seem to play their best against the Senators. Hopefully Boston can find their best for this series as they are going to need it. The Sens had the Bruins number this season sweeping the series, 3-1, 4-2, 3-2, 2-1, for some reason Boston can not score more than two goals against Ottawa. On the other end Ottawa has not outscored the Bruins by much which tells me that this is going to be a great series. Also with the Sens being the two seed they get home rink, and if the Bruins want to win the series then they have to win one of the first two games in Ottawa.
Luckily the Bruins are 98% healthy. Noel Acciari is day-to-day. Torey Krug is still unsure about the playoffs. Also Brando Carlo left Saturday’s game early after being hit in the back hard by Alexander Ovechkin. Boston will get Brad Marchand back from his two game suspension. If there are injuries look to see JFK out there who made his NHL Debut against the Capitals on Saturday. Unfortunately I did not watch that game because I was watching The Masters.
Bruins in 6. Marchand has three goals in the series and Pastrnak has 2.
