Boston Red Sox Utility Player Brock Holt Left Pawtucket Red Sox Rehab Game Early With Vertigo Symptoms
Boston Red Sox utility infielder Brock Holt was removed from Monday’s rehab game after experiencing vertigo symptoms, according to sources and later confirmed by the Boston Globe’s Alex Spier.
Holt has already had to restart his rehab assignment once due to a recurrence of symptoms, so this could bump things back even farther at a time where the Red Sox could desperately use him with Pablo Sandoval still down with an injury of his own.
He has been out since April 20 and was expected to make his return by the end of the week. We’ll have to wait for the team to make a full evaluation of his status, but Holt may very well be back to square one once again.
Update on his situation is expected to come later today either from Boston or from the Pawtucket Red Sox who are in Scranton playing game two of their series Tuesday night at 6:35 pm.
