Patriots Talk: Tom Brady and Fellow Teammates Attend The Kentucky Derby
It’s always a fun time in the off-season to have some fun and see what players do outside of their daily grind in practice. Several days ago, the annual 143rd Kentucky Derby was taking place and many famous celebrities get in on the race that has been dubbed “The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports.” While many people will say that horse racing has been a sport that has become overshadowed by many other sporting events, it is still a well-kept tradition that many honor in the millions.
The Kentucky Derby held many sporting networks on Saturday were all hyping up in anticipation for what was to come. This included many of the attendees for the event itself including Tom Brady. He was among the Patriots players that arrived for the event including teammates Julie Edleman, Danny Amendola, Jimmy Garoppolo, Jacoby Brissett and shockingly, former teammate and now Texans’ offensive assistant, Wes Welker.
The event was a great way to kick back and watch as many were at the event including now retired Boston Rex Sox designated hitter, David ‘Big Papi’ Ortiz. Another surprise to see was Brady running into Green Bay Packers’ [Quarterback] Aaron Rodgers and NFL legend Jerry Rice were among those present at the event. It would seem as though the Kentucky Derby was the biggest celebrity meet and greet for the week and there were many to choose from.

Needless to say, the event was quite the show. The ultimate question is obviously who bet on the right horse? Well time will tell but anyone who bet on the winner of the event, Always Dreaming must be feeling pretty good right now
