Revolution Notebook: 13 Academy Products Announce College Commitments, Three Tied To RI Schools

On Friday the New England Revolution announced that thirteen academy products have made their college commitments. Eight of which for the 2020-21 academic year, and all of which are New England natives.

A number of the commitments have committed to local programs including Providence College and Bryant University. Cranston R.I. native Gevork Diarbian committed to Providence College as apart of the 2020 signing class and New Hampshire native Colby Quinones is a verbal commit to P.C. as a member of the 2021 class.

As for the Bull Dogs, Brewster, Mass native Abdel Talabi has committed as a member of the 2020 class.

For Revolution fans the big names are Trevor Burns, son of legend Michael Burns. Trevor has committed to Georgetown University in the Class of 2020. And Goalkeeper Elliot Jones has committed to Stanford.

“It has been a privilege to work with this group of talented players and I am thrilled to see them all continue their academic and soccer careers at the collegiate level,” said Bryan Scales, the Revolution’s Director of Youth Development and Under-19 head coach. “We look forward to watching their continued growth and success over the next few years at an impressive array of schools.”
