Bryant University Bulldogs Visit Number 13 Ranked Maryland Terrapins On Sunday Afternoon

The Bryant University Bulldogs will make a visit to the Xfinity Center in College park, Maryland on Sunday after to take on the Maryland Terrapins. A win for the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon would be the biggest win in program history over a ranked opponent and a Big 10 team. It would also be the longest winning streak for the Bulldogs since an 8 game winning streak in the 2012-2013 season.

Maryland ranked as high as 3rd in the nation before back to back losses at Penn State and Seton Hall in their last two games.

Maryland’s top scorers of Anthony Cowan Jr. and Jalen Smith will need to be slowed down to give the Bulldogs a chance in this game. Cowan currently leads all Terrapin scorers with 16.5 points per game with Smith averaging 13.3 points per game.

With the Terrapins holding opponents under 60 points in 6 of their last 10 games, the Bulldogs will need someone to step up in scoring situations for them. Freshman Benson Lin has averaged 13.3 points per game during their current 4 game winning streak.

With the Bulldogs currently sitting at 6-0 when Lin tallies at least 10 points, if Lin is able to score on Sunday afternoon, the Bulldogs will have a chance to upset the number 13th ranked team in the country. It should be noted that the Bulldogs gave number 24th ranked Iowa a scare last season before ultimately falling 72-67.

Fans can watch the game on the Big 10 Network beginning at 12:00pm.
