PawSox Schedule Announced For 2019 Season, Northern Set Early

The Pawtucket Red Sox announced their 2019 Schedule on Thursday afternoon with the Boston Red Sox Triple-A set to celebrate their 50th season as an affiliate of Boston.

Pawtucket is set to start their season on the road with a series in Syracuse, then Buffalo, and then back home to kick of their 2019 home campaign on April 11th for a series with the Syracuse Mets.

Once again it appears that the International League does not know how to make a schedule with much of the early going occurring in Northern cities which has often caused many early season cancellations. That being said,  Pawtucket is set to open its season at McCoy Stadium in what is the stadiums 77th season of existence. A stadium that the team is set to leave in two seasons with the franchise deciding a move to Worcester is in their future instead of remaining in a city that they have played the last 47 seasons in.

Pawtucket in addition to their schedule announced a series of new promotion driven initiatives for 2019 including “Legendary Fridays” and “50 Years Together” as well as special promotions to help celebrate Boston’s 2018 World Series Championship.  The club will be bringing back the Saturday home firework themed nights in 2019 and currently have 3 firework nights on the calendar for Independence day. The theme of the firework nights and the specific promotional calendar is expected to be released sometime in January.

Pawtucket also announced that they will continue their Latino outreach program and are doing something rather interesting, a Rhode Island themed night with details being announced after the New Year. The later is a clear way that the club plans on remembering their Rhode Island roots well after they leave the historic confines of McCoy.

We look froward to covering the 2019 Pawtucket Red Sox once again here at Trifecta Sports.
